The curriculum aims at developing skills in music reading, keeping time, playing accuracy and techniques. The depth and pace of the lessons are customized based on the student’s learning style, needs and interests. The lessons are conducted on the acoustic guitar primarily. Whether you’re looking to hone new skills, advance your skills or simply explore the instrument to know if it's right for you, this would be an apt class.

About Abner

Abner is a multi-passionate multi-instrumentalist from Montgomery Township School District and offers private music lessons in saxophone and guitar at his home studio in Belle Mead, NJ.

He plays the saxophone, guitar and bass. While Alto Saxophone is his primary choice in saxophone, he also enjoys playing and performing on the Tenor, Baritone and Soprano saxophones.

He has been playing the Saxophone since 2016 and the Guitar since 2014.

He actively performs in the Montgomery High School Wind Ensemble, MHS Jazz Band, Marching Band, and Pit Orchestra, and plays first chair majority of the time. He is privileged to be the Band Captain for the MHS Marching Band for the Fall of 2023 and Vice-President of the Band Council for the school year 2023-24. He is the proud recipient of the MHS award for excellence in Band in 2023.

He is proud to have been part of the CJMEA (Central Jersey Music Educators Association) Symphonic Band, and YOCJ (Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey) saxophone choir in 2023.

He is privileged to be the bassist for a Bollywood themed band known as Hidden Gems in NJ that raises funds to support charitable organizations in India and USA.

He has performed on the guitar and vocals for other charitable organizations based in the USA and other countries.

In 2021, Abner was the only student from Montgomery Upper Middle School to get selected with Gold 1* rating for his saxophone performance in a statewide solo competition organized by Arts Ed NJ.

When he is not playing an instrument, he engages in competitive speedcubing and offers cubing classes to tweens, teens and adults across the USA.
